Passion by Lauren Kate

I absolutely loved this book. It gave all the background story to Luce's and Daniel's love. It also gave an interesting plot twister. I liked all the realizations that Luce had about daniel. This book was very much formatted as a quest. Through every life that Luce went through, she learned a little more. At the end, she had a way to stop the curse, but she chose love over that. I also liked Daniel's part. I only expected him to be chasing her, but no. He had his own quest to complete. It just sort of happened to be at the same places that Luce was. In the end, their paths met once again. Love prevails.

I haven't done any reading since the beginning of the school year, heck, since summer because of summer homework. I TOOK ON TOO MUCH OF A WORK LOAD. I would be reading now, but i have a job now too. This is all going to suck, but at least i get money right?

Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead

To start out, i honestly think that this book is the BEST in the series. It was just breathtaking. Sometimes the author actually had me holding my breath and reading quickly just to find out what happened. This book provided a lot of ties to loose ends (right phrase?) I was really sad to read the last book in the series. It did take me a really long time to get a hold of it. I was not disappointed at all! The ending... oh my, THE ENDING WAS SO SURPRISING! It was so sad to sort of watch (in my mind) Lissa and Rose grow apart, together, and just grow up. This is one of my favorite series.

Angelfire by Courtney Allison moulton

So i've been gone for a really long time..... I have Been reading a lot of books but I feel that they are not fit for a review.... ( yea total lie, I've be lazy! Can't blame me, it's summer!!!) well I posted a review of the book mentioned in the title on goodreads. Com. I felt that I had to because the people on that site did not like the book and didn't finish reading it. I wanted to give my input on it because I did not feel that it was bad at all (excuse my mistakes, I'm typing on my iPod which is not the best for typing long things......

So I would give this book a 3.5 stars out of five. Personally I did not like the ending of the book. This was mentioned on goodreads but I did not elaborate. First, the ending of the book was really bland. It did not have any sort of suspence at all, not like torment by Laurent Kate. It was just her fighting another reaper saying that she is the prelaitor. I know that there will be another book( via goodreads) and the ending gave no reference to that. I wanted an endi g that would be memorable so that I can have somewhat of an idea of what happened when I read the next book. The ending knocked off .75 stars from the book's score. The other .75 knocked off was due to the fight scenes. They seemed really repetative. It was like Ellie was doing somehing, reaper showed up, will gets hurt a little, Ellie gets hurt, Ellie unleashes her power, beast dies or runs away to fight her later. That was most of the fight scenes right here. There wasn't a lot of variation.

One thing I liked was Will. His character made things enjoyable. The forbidden romance between Will and Ellie added something to the book plot. I loved will's character and how his relationship with Ellie changed throughout the book. That was one thing I wanted to read more of. I wanted to know more about his and ellie's previous lives. It sounds sort of like the same as other books with reincarnations and I love a good angel like character. The beginning of the book was also quite enjoyable. I was a little iffy about ellie's and her father's relationship but I felt that added some background to Ellie. I was sort of expecting so an explanation to how her father changed. I expected her father to really be a reaper in disguise as her father, but that was a big no.....finding that out could have added an interesting element to the story. ( could have also made Ellie more passionate to kill reapers if one of them killed her father) maybe that will be in the next book.... Those are my thoughts on this book.

read book...... THEY'RE GOOD FOR YOU!!!!! (I hope that is right..... :p)

Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce

Well.... i can honestly say that this book.... was not what i expected... I don't despise it... i guess i'm leaning towards hate than like. It.... wow... Silas should have ended up with Lett, in my opinion. Rosie.... Rosie doesn't deserve the love. I honestly am not on her side. I am absolutely on Lett's side. That was the thing that bothered me the most, Silas giving up on Lett only to love Rosie.

Throughout the whole book, i didn't like Rosie. I don't know why, i just didn't like her character. She annoyed me a lot. The only time i actually did like her was when she was feeling guilty about Silas. She was just... annoying. I didn't really want to read her parts, even though I did. She just wasn't an enjoyable character for me. Neither was Silas.....

Also, the plot.... let's just say it wasn't my cup of tea. Overall I found the book boring in comparison to other books that I have read. I don't know what was actually wrong with it... i just didn't like the plot that much. Overall the book would be a 2 out of a 5 point scale. Lost one point because of the plot. Lost one point because of Silas, and lost one point because of Rosie. The two points given were because of Scarlett and what she had to go through because of these two love birds. I wouldn't have forgiven my sister if she stole my boyfriend (and to me, that's what she basically did. Silas loved Lett first. Even if she loves the hunt more than him, she could have learned to love him but she wasn't given that chance).

Bloody Valentine by Melissa De La Cruz

Ok.... so i'm sorry for leaving for such a long time.... I suck, i know. (not a pun to the book!) So i've been reading, of course, but i haven't had time to write any reviews/ spoiler thingies (or whatever you call these things that i write). I've been busy with school (*cough cough* procrastinating....) and doing surveys and things, but onward with the point. This book was better than some of the ones that have been released.

First, I actually followed the story of this book. This book had some words from Oliver's life, Alegra's background life, and then the bonding ceremony. The perspectives didn't change for each chapter. That was one of the many things that I enjoyed. This made the book easier to understand. Oliver's story stayed consistent. Instead of changing the story every few pages, Oliver's story was told first and then the next one was told and so on.

Second, i liked Alegra's story. It was my favorite out of the whole book, maybe even the whole series. This story provided background to Alegra's life. It added more... spunk? to the story. Alegra actually is someone. She isn't some angel who's in a coma and then disappeared.

Overall, this book was probably one of the best in the series (my opinion).

read books.... THEY'RE GOOD FOR YOU!!! (i think that's how it goes.... it's been so long i've forgotten.)

Keys to the Repository by Melissa De La Cruz

First off, sorry i have not posted... i'm just a lazy person.
Second, I really hope that i spelled the author's name right.
Third, this book sucked.

I liked this series. It was a good one. I just think that it gets way to confusing with it constantly switching the point of views. Then the author decided to add different views into some of the later books (view of Deming.. sorta wanted to skip these chapters) It just got to confusing. By the time i got back to the perspective of the first character, i find myself forgetting what was going on with that person anyway.

Also, i didn't like how short the books are. The author could have easily divided the books better. With such short story plots to each book, it's hard to remember what came before. Like for misguided angels. It took me a while to get to read it when it came out. By the time i got around to reading it, i had forgotten what happened in the other books. I don't like books that are like that. most of the time, i could recall what happened as i read through the book, but this book was short, so i did not have a time to catch up with the plot.

Now onto the actual book that i am supposed to be discussing. This book was.... meh. I was reading it in class one day and i almost fell asleep (you know that sensation when you're falling?? I had that sensation and JERKED in my seat making sounds in a quiet room full of students reading >.<). It was really boring to read. I expected more out of a companion novel. I thought that it would be a story told in the point of view of someone else. Instead it was basically background information about all the characters. At the end it had a list of most of the characters (i say most because i don't know all the characters) that was ever mentioned in the series. This made is especially boring because i do not even remember 1/2 of the characters that were mentioned.

I also didn't like that this "companion" book was written during the series. Throughout the rest of the series, more characters could have been added. Does she want to write a second companion novel? that would make the companion novels their own series... and if it turns out like that... then i'm going to be sorry to say that series will suck. I mean if it was something like The Fledgling Handbook by P.C. Cast then that would be acceptable (still need to read). Something that just explained how the blue bloods got their memories and things. but to explain each family or person in detail just makes it dry and boring.

Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready

WHY!????!!!!!?????!!!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!??!?!! WHY END A bOOK LIKE THAT!?!?!?!??!!?!??!?!

That is exactly what is running through my mind after reading the end of the book! It was why!? first a synopsis.

From good reads:
Love ties them together. Death can't tear them apart.

Best. Birthday. Ever. At least, it was supposed to be. With Logan's band playing a critical gig and Aura's plans for an intimate after-party, Aura knows it will be the most memorable night of her boyfriend's life. She never thought it would be his last.

Logan's sudden death leaves Aura devastated. He's gone.

Well, sort of.

Like everyone born after the Shift, Aura can see and hear ghosts. This mysterious ability has always been annoying, and Aura had wanted nothing more than to figure out why the Shift happened so she can undo it. But not with Logan's violet-hued spirit still hanging around. Because dead Logan is almost as real as ever. Almost.

It doesn't help that Aura's new friend Zachary is so understanding—and so very alive. His support means more to Aura than she cares to admit.

As Aura's relationships with the dead and the living grow ever complicated, so do her feelings for Logan and Zachary. Each holds a piece of Aura's heart...and clues to the secret of the Shift.

that was the summary from good reads... how for my own summary

MY OWN:
Aura is a girl who could see ghosts, but in her world, she is not the only one. Five billion plus teens and kids could see ghosts due to one thing, that one thing was the SHIFT. Aura was the first child born during the Shift, and believe me, she was the first. No other baby shared her exact birthday, down to the minute. (ghosts are violet... or black when they turn into shades)

On the night of Logan (aura's boyfriend and love) birthday, he was about to get signed to a company and he had the love of his life with him. But all that changed when he died. He died after snorting cocaine (not only that... he drank many beers before that... so alcohol + Cocaine= death.... yea... and the reason why he did cocaine was because he couldnt "get it up" for his girlfriend.... and he thought that cocaine would help... yea strange boy)

After that things changed. Aura couldn't physically be with Logan. She couldn't touch him or anything, but still they saw each other at night. Logan left his family torn and in mouring (had a funeral and a grave stone thingy anyway.. for the pre-shift people <--- couldn't see ghosts)

Side note: Aura had a project that she was working on. She was trying to get to the bottom of the shift... and she had clues. Her mom (dead) left a journal... with pages ripped out, but what was in it had Aura curious. During her study, her teacher thought that a partner would help. A kid named Zachary (from ireland... or was it scottland.. i don't know)wanted to be her partner. Little did she know that she would fall for him. and that he had a secret... in fact three secrets.

Secret number 1: His dad worked for the uk governmeent and was assigned to the states (USA) because of her. Secret number 2: He was the LAST born before the shift.... Secret number 3: He was a walking ghost repeller person (the only other things that could possibly keep ghosts away were the color red and obsidian) Aura's feelings for him grew, but she could not give up on Logan.

Logan's parents were sueing the record company that gave him the cocaine. After the trail, he was about to move on... until he turned SHADE! the government was going to contain him in a little black box... FOREVER, but Aura and Dylan (logan's brother) fought with the government officials the she shade logan escaped.

Before, Zachary had told Aura that he would wait until she got over logan... he was still waiting for her. Aura couldn't give up on Logan, even after he turned shade... so she waited for him.. months pasted by and no logan.... until one day when Aura ran out of songs to play and just asked where he was... He came as a shade and Aura wouldn't give up... after a little bit, he turned violet again.. BACK to a ghost... and there the book ends.... WHAT THE HECK HAPPENS NEXT?!??!?!?!?!?!??!

yea, that's one of the only things i didn't like about the book..... the freaking ending!!!

Low Red Moon by Ivy Devlin

This book was an.... interesting one. I liked the idea that the forest had an actual person that represented it. I liked how Avery would get a streak of red when the forest was grieving for it's losses. I liked the guy character (sorry... read it a while ago... this is what happens when i procrastinate on writing this). I didn't really think that he was the one who killed the parents, but then who else would i be? (secretly i thought there was a vampire in this.... since Avery remembered silver <-- possible flash of vampire teeth right??)

One thing that i did find a little weird was that everytime moon was typed? writen? anyways, whenever the author used the word moon, it was in red. I have no idea what that has to do with the story... I don't even know what the title has to do with it. It didn't really mention anything with a low red moon. It was pretty weird. Like i'm reading and all of the sudden there was a red word on the page. It wasn't something i could ignore.

One thing that i was really not expecting at all was the the SHERIFF was the one who killed the parents.... Yea! I knew there was a reason not to trust police! or the police force! (because they might have secretly killed your parents and your neighbors just so that he would be able to expand your small town) Not trust worthy at all. The sheriff, ron, was a lunatic! I actually trusted him throughout the beginning and middle of the book! I couldn't believe that someone would do that... strange!

oh well... gonna end it now... At least i give a warning right?? That's gotta count for something :)

Newness!

New posts coming up soon.... i hope. I have finished 2 books already, that don't have reviews yet (probably because i'm too lazy to write anything but this).... But anyway, i still have to do the other two in the Daughters Of the Moon book. Plus i'm reading Julius Ceasar (did i spell that right?) by William Shakespeare.... Yea, maybe there will be a review, if i like it enough or if i hate it enough. (keep in mind i did not write one of The Odyssey <-- if i spelt that right too)
yea, so new posts if i'm feeling up to it. I haven't posted in ninja inc either... or ninja star... or ninja roll... wow, i've let things get behind!

Dark Song by Gail Giles

When i picked up this book, i was expecting something completly different. I expected it to be a superatural romance book. This book disappointed me. Frankly i did not like it in any sense. It is not a book that i would recommend or read again.

Here are the reasons why:

1. I didn't like the characters... AT ALL!!!! The story is kind of really cold hearted. The father, an alcoholic who lost everything, seemed sort of over the extreame. I mean he broke the law, but that wasn't all. He decideds to lay around all say while his wife and daughters had to give up so much. He was supposed to be finding a job, but instead he decided to gamble away the money that the wife made when she sold, basically everything.
I didn't like the wife either. She was also cold hearted. Why would she speak to her daughter like that? Granted, the daughter, Ames, had an attitude, but that was easily explained because she's been the rich spoiled princess her whole life, until that one particular moment when she had to give up everything. I guess the wife's behavior would have been explained because of the stress that her stupid husband's actions.
Onward with the people i didn't like at all. I didn't like the main character, Ames. She gave herself up way too easily to Marc. I didn't get the fact that every time she disobeyed or felt power, the "dark song" sang out to her. There was no dark song! I don't recall a description of what it sounded like. I just don't get the dark song.
I didn't like Marc. I hated his character the most. Killing Ames's parents so they could run away??? What kind of crap is that?! They could have just ran away, if he really loved her... frankly i refuse to believe that he loved her in any sense. Why would you hurt someone, force them into sex, and try to kill their parents if you really loved them??? Huh? I believe that he was USING HER! For the excitment that he got whenever he was with her. He wasn't trying to protect her. He didn't have her best interests in mind. Oh, and also... WHAT KIND OF PERSON rapes a girl and then treatens the parents (so they would not take him to court) by dognapping their dog and putting 15 freaking bullet holes through the dog??? If those people just STEPPED UP! and not wimp out by dropping the charges, who knows how many people/girls would have been saved from his treacherous grasps!!!
Enough about people that i hated. I actually thought some of the characters were ok, but not good enough to be called good. I thought that Chrissy and Em were pretty ok people. Chrissy was pretty innocent. Em showed readers that the influence of a person you love can make a person change.

2. I didn't like the story line. I felt everything was very rushed. It felt like there wasn't much detail and the book was only covering the surface of it all. I think the author could have gone into more details about everything. The events just passed by each other. There was no time to actually let things sink in. I didn't realize that Marc ment to kill Ames' parents until Ames actually said so herself.

3. The cover didn't fit the book. I usually pick books by their covers and summaries. I know that's bad, but most times the book sort of matches the book cover.... (not saying this applies to every book, but normally it does.... at least to the first book in the series) I expected great things from this book! It was just huge dissappointment!

4. The ending was a disater! I'm glad that the police came up with a plan to catch Marc before he could kill the parents. BUT the last lines of the book. It was just so weird and i didn't think it fit the book at all. I just expected more out of it, so it was so disappointing to me/

Yea... just gonna end it there... don't.... want.... to..... type..... any.... more......

Revamped by Lucienne Diver

First off, i would like to say that i went into this book not remember anything that happened in the first book, so i started off kind of confused. THat could have just messed up my book review, or make it more creditable...

I don't think i can realy consider these things that i write book reviews. More of a summaryish thing, maybe. Call it what you want, i'll just call it a not really a book review sort of thing.

Onward with the reviewing. I like this book. I like her writing style. She can really get into the mind of a really preppy teenage girl, although it is sort of eggagerated. I felt like i turned into the character, although i was sort of rolling my eyes at some of the things she said.

I was also sort of surprised at the Rasputin reference. That just brought up a bunch of random memories. I thought that the author didn't describe Alistar or Rasputin very much. I couldn't get a clear picture of what they looked like in my mind. Most of the people, i couldn't really grasp a physical person in my mind, ok that did not make sense. I couldn't picture the characters in my mind.

Cutting it short: i like this book, i might continue the series, if there are other ones. I picked this book up becuase i read the first one, but it was kind of pointless since i don't even remember. Call this statement discrediting myself or what not, but i call it the truth.

Read books, THEY'RE GOOD FOR YOU :)
