Whispers at Moonrise by C.C. Hunter

First, I would like to say that the title has almost nothing to do with what happened in the book. Now I say almost because I don't actually remember a whole lot of whisperings in the moonlight so I'm not saying that there wasn't, just that I didn't remember it.

Second, I would like to say that I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! Seriously! I read this book in a day. It had me hooked. Actually I love this whole series! The love war between Derek and Lucas is sweet. Burnett and Holiday refusing to acknowledge their love for each other finally gets resolved. Almost everything in this book was perfect.

After the major cliff hanger i the previous book, I felt that this book wrapped up those cliff hangers well while introducing new problems (freaking omg, the new problems are HUGE).

I am looking forward to reading the last book in the series but I'll be sad to see it end. I give this book a 4.75 out of 5 only because at certain pouts I found Kylie to be a little bit annoying.

This book, heck, this whole series is worth checking out.

Until next time.... Read on my fellow book nerds.

2 years

I've noticed that I have had this blog up for almost 2 years. I was going pretty strong in the beginning, but now it's died down. I'll never forget about you blog, even though I may not post in like over a year. I'll work hard to start posting more, but lately I have been WAY too busy to even pick up a book. I'm a senior in High School. I have college stuff to worry about and I am in 3 AP classes, one of which is AP chem which is one of the hardest classes ever. Ugh, nerdy school girl problems. Plus my job keeps me pretty occupado too. Man, I really wish I could pick up a book and just read like the wind. I truly do miss it.

OMG, I FAIL

GAH, I haven't posted a review in FOREVERS. I've just been super busy with procrastinating for school and what not. Plus, it's senior year and I am a fail. Still haven't applied to college yet. What a slacker I am.

I'm just feeling pretty down lately. Maybe a good book is exactly what I need. IDK.

Summer Reading...

So, currently I am reading How to Read Literature Like a Professor and it is quite boring. I hate reading things for school because most times, they are boring. Isn't that normal? SCHOOLS! PLEASE FIND SOME STUFF THAT ISN'T BORING. Most times, it takes me about 6 hours to finish a good sized book. I have been trying to read How to Read Literature Like a Professor for the past...... 4 weeks? I keep falling asleep. I literally fall asleep while reading this book..... Anyway, anyone have opinions on the Olympics??

Last Breath by Rachel Caine

summary:
With her boss preoccupied researching the Founder Houses in Morganville, student Claire Danvers is left to her own devices when she learns that three vampires have vanished without a trace. She soon discovers that the last person seen with one of the missing vampires is someone new to town-a mysterious individual named Magnus. After an uneasy encounter with Morganville's latest resident, Claire is certain Magnus isn't merely human. But is he a vampire-or something else entirely? (courtesy of Goodreads.com)

One thing I have to say about this book is that it is COMPLETELY AMAZING. This book is i believe the tenth or eleventh book in the Morganville Vampire series. I love this series so much. It is one of my favorite series. To begin with, there is almost NOTHING i hated about this book. It is completely interesting and captured my attention the whole time i was reading it. I even gave up homework so i could finish it (and with me being Asian and an absolute nerd, that like never happens)

First, i love Rachel Caine's writing style. She combines the words in a really interesting way that just keeps me reading. Plus, i like the fact that this book switches from the point of view of different character. Normally, i absolutely hate that in a book but Rachel Caine pulls it off nicely.

Second, I absolutely adore the characters! I especially love Claire and Myrin (i sorta hoped they would be together. It would be nice if there did). None of the characters had a useless role in the plot. All the characters worked together. I especially love Myrin because of his craziness and how he really does care for Claire. I love Claire because she doesn't just sit around waiting for the men to go and save her. She saves herself, and others *cough* basically the whole town of Morganville *cough* all the time. People actually rely on her.

Third, I loved the plot. The actions, the things that happened, everything just fit together so perfectly. I especially love the part when _______ ____ and then ______ tried to ______ but it didn't work. Then Michael ___________ to find ______ and almost didn't ______ but he did only to be ______ by ____. Poor ______. But Myrin _____ and did some impossible things. IT WAS JUST SO AMAZING!!!! I'm not giving anything away because i want you all to actually read the whole series. I LOVE IT. SO FREAKING MUCH!!!!!
